About

About Us

The Fighting Falcons  is a  recreational hockey program for youth ages  4 to 12.

The mission of  the programs is " To introduce children to a physical athletic program which requires both individual and team skill to be successful with a understanding that caring and understanding for their team mates and opponents is a critical part of team experience.

The 2009-2010 Fighting Falcons Program  Will  be formatted  as followed:

four(4) age groups , with four(f) teams in each age group . The Age Groups would be : Mites/Atoms, Squirts, Pee Wees and Bantams. And of course we will also be continuing the Let's Play Hockey Program. The FF program will consist of a practice before each game and Specialized  hockey clinics, that will be held during the season  for all age groups. As with this past season all equipment will be provided for the LPH. Fighitng Falcons Players will be required to have their own equipment.

All Practices and Games of the FF Program will be done on Saturday morning to early afternoon. The LPH Program will be on Saturdays Starting date for the FF program practices will begin mid October and run  through mid March. LPH and the specialized hockey clinics will start mid September and run through late March or early April.

Games will start mid to late November. We are  planning to play a number of games with the Montgomery   Youth Recreational Program ( Pure house teams). Besides playing Montgomery  Teams we are also looking into playing other Recreational teams  in the immediate area. If we do not get enough players to have four teams in each division, to ensure our children have a significant amount of games, next year we may still need to combine age groups.  Team Rosters will be formed to ensure equality on all of our in-house teams. Players may be added during the season to these teams from children in the LPH Program   or New Families to the community

Starting  the first of January  we may be putting  together a number of select teams at the appropriate age groups to play games with other youth hockey groups.  This group would be  called " Select  Fighting Falcons" and will be a Non Try-out team, which you may or may not  participate  with. Their games will be on Sundays and Travel will be limited  to the immediate  hockey clubs.
